The Law College Library has the widest collection of historical legal material other than the Colombo National Museum Library. It is a legal depository library with the largest collection of contemporary legal writing and textbooks. It includes the A.R. Premadasa collection, Justice C. G. Weeramantry Collection, and Hansards. The collection covers legal education in Sri Lanka/Ceylon. legal heritage, history of Hulftsdorp and the courts, customs and customary law, Roman law, Roman-Dutch law, colonial era texts on politics and governance; legal academic text books and legal procedure codes. Holdings include the New Law Reports, All England Law Reports, South African Law Reports (1985-1997), All India Reports (AIR) 1930s-1970 (including district reports), and Dominion Law Reports (1912-1967). It also holds Sinhala, Tamil and English language law journals published by the bar and law students, and law journals published by Sri Lankan universities.
